Maker Space
Introduction
We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Learnika Labs – a STEM and arts-focused workshop that encourages students to tap into their creativity and become innovators. Our aim is to inspire your child to flex their critical thinking muscle by providing them with activities that require creative solutions.
What is a makerspace?
A makerspace is a collaborative workspace where people can create, invent, and learn. Makerspaces typically have various tools and equipment, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, T-shirt printing machines, cricut, and other arts & crafts tools. They also offer classes and workshops to help people learn new skills.
Since our establishment in 2009, we have been committed to creating a safe and enjoyable learning space for students in our community. As we enter the 15th year of our bilingual after-school care program, we are proud to celebrate the positive impact we have had.
In 2013 we not only began offering coding classes and robotics workshops at our center, but we also offered these programs to both private and public schools around the peninsula. With the mission of continuing to provide a diverse range of subjects for our students, we are thrilled to introduce Learnika Labs – our new STEM and art maker space open to all levels of learners.
At Learnika Labs, students will unleash their creativity on a diverse curriculum centered around:
-Artificial Intelligence
-Computer Programing
-Graphic Design
-Laser Cutting
-Robotics & Engineering
-Science experiments
-T-shirt making
-Video Making
-3D Printing & CAD
…and a lot more!
